Dr. Christopher M. Jewell has been selected as the state's Outstanding Young Engineer by the Maryland Academy of Sciences. In a ceremony held on November 20 at the Maryland Science Center Dr. Jewell received the award and the Allan C. Davis Medal. The award was established in 1988 and is awarded annually along with the Maryland Outstanding Young Scientist award, which was created in 1959. This year two awards were made in each category, representing the state's highest professional honor to scientists and engineers age 35 or under.
