Great news to report: Dr. Robert "Smitty" Oakes, NIH T32 Fellow in the lab - has been notified that his $600,000 Career Development Award (Level 2) will be funded by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This award will support Smitty's transition to independence over the next 3 years. Thanks to the VA Biomedical R&D division for this fantastic opportunity. Congrats "Smitty"!
