Today the White House awarded Prof. Jewell the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE). The PECASE is the nation's highest honor awarded to scientists and engineers in the early phase of their careers. Award ceremonies were held by the Office of Science and Technology Policy at Constitution Hall and by the National Science Foundation as NSF Headquarters.
