Exciting news to share that Allie Amerman, high school intern in the lab, has won the regional science fair!! Allie will compete next month at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Phoenix, AZ for more than $4M in prizes and scholarships, including a grand prize of $100,000!
Allie - a student at Wheaton High School (WHS), has been working in the lab for ~20 hours per week for the past two years on her project, a new approach to cancer vaccination.
Also a special thanks to Allie's mentor in the lab, Shannon Tsai, NCI Doctoral Fellow.
