This fellowship will provide up to 3 years of support and supply funds for Neil to build on his work with nucleic acids for cancer vaccination. We will be collaborating with NCI researchers Bruce Shapiro and Joe Oppenheim to build new nucleic acid based adjuvants using computational tools, and testing these in cells and in pre-clinical models of melanoma and thymoma.
Keep up the great work! Read more about Neil on our team page. Welcome to new PhD student Lampouguin Yenkoidiok-Douti, who recently joined the lab. Douti graduated from the University of Maryland in 2015 with a B.S. in Bioengineering and is a National Science Foundation Bridge-to-the-Doctorate Graduate Fellow. He is research is focused on malaria vaccine development. Douti is mentored by Dr. Carolina Barillas-Mury at the NIH Malaria Branch and co-advised by Dr. Jewell. Welcome Douti!
