This week's issue of Science Translational Medicine (STM) includes a new editorial by Prof. Jewell highlighting research to understand the process - fibrosis - that causes many implantable biomedical devices to fail. Dr. Jewell is an Associate Scientific Advisor at STM.

Dr. Jewell was the speaker for the American Society of Transplantation (AST) and the American Journal of Transplantation (AJT) journal club this month. The interactive webinar was hosted by the AST and the AJT, and moderated by Dr. Jonathan Bromberg. Thanks to the society for the invitation and to all the attendees for the attention and great questions!
